Sustainability at Nord Arin
-
We are eco-friendly.
Our pieces of furniture are carved from carefully selected FSC wood, originating exclusively from sustainable sources, hand-picked only from reliable timber providers.
We use low-VOC paints on our products.
We introduced bio water-based coatings that is obtained from organic waste materials and is a high-performance, chemical resistant and light resistant finish.
The Nord Arin R&D Department is constantly researching and working on furniture concepts mixing wood with sustainable, recycled materials.
-
We recycle.
We have implemented a strict selective waste management procedure across our entire Nord Arin facility production, and we constant develop our selective waste collection policy and implement new measures for supporting recycling processes and reduce the exploitation of natural resources.
We save logs, we upcycle, we explore new ways to reuse wood chunks that result from the timber selection process, and we experiment the introduction of reconditioned wood waste into sustainable pieces of furniture.
-
We plant.
Become a Plantarin - we launched an extensive planting program, that will empower and enable brand’s clients to indirectly plant a seedling somewhere in Romania. Thus, every time they buy a Nord Arin piece of furniture, we will plant a tree in their name.
We plant - forests are a forever source of inspiration for our team of designers and engineers, we love wood and we have a deep respect for its home. So, we participate and organize yearly planting campaigns in our community, in order to help reforestation and preservation of the beautiful forests in Romania.

We use green energy.
We know renewable energy is the future and we make extensive efforts to harness these green resources in our company, along with the development of innovative furniture designs.
All the thermal energy used in our production facility is produced in-house, from wood waste.
We installed a system of photovoltaic panels on our production facility in Preluca, that will generate renewable energy covering up to 25% of the monthly electricity consumption of the Nord Arin factory.
